Are you a vegetarian or vegan? If yes for how long and why?:
I am a vegetarian. I preferred vegetarian on druptse zhi (fourth day of sixth month in bhutanese calender) 2006 and ever since I was a previleged vegetarian (completes 12th year on 16.07). Back then, it was not really because I am being spiritul. Neither was it somebody's force nor a fashion but an inner call that I want to avoid meat. There was that force of intuition in me that I wanted to exclude meat in my diet forever. Now I feel privileged and I made the best decision of my life.
Has it benefited you and how?:Being a vegetarian is helpful. I dont remember any instances where I was sick and people advice me that was because I am not taking any meat or egg for that matter. So, basically my health is not weaken rather I feel fresh and alive. My immune system is strong, blood circulation is flawless, i dont have hypertension. In fact non of non-communicable (live style) diseases till date and I attribute it to my diet which excludes meat. But I eat plenty of vegetables and fruits.
What are your Favorite veggies and fruits?:I really do not have favorite because I am not really choicy. I enjoy any veggies or fruits which are seasonal and available. I prefer local though.
Your Favorite animals? Domestic or wild?:
I love dog, cat, cattles. I look upto lion.
What do you believe in or should we say your motto in life?:
I am not really a principle man but I am guided by "intrigrity". I do not take life too seriously too quickly.
What is your message to everyone on going meatless?:
Excluding meat from diet is the most amazing privilege you can ever have in life. Go veg. live healthy lives.
