Do you observe JANGSEM Mondays?:I have been aware of Jangsem Monday but to be very frank, I was hardcore carnivore until last 2 months. I am a great cook in my own way and now I found the adventure in cooking just vegetarian meals.
What do you think about Jangsem Monday movement? This movement was a great initiative. When I sit back and think of all these creatures being butchered for so called the human. I felt so pathetic and extremely sorry for what I have been consuming. With the JANGSEM Monday movement, I am very sure many of us will either decrease or totally stop eating meat. And here I am, hardcore meat eater to hardcore vegetarian. Thank you Jangsem Monday for this great initiative.
Why do you think it's important to go meatless?:I strongly feel that animals are not vegetables. They have life, same like us. How do we feel if one of our own kind has to be slaughtered to please the hungry ghost. Definitely, its not fair. Same thing apply to the animals too.
Are you a vegetarian or vegan? If yes for how long and why?:
I am vegetarian. I don't eat egg too except diary products.
Has it benefited you and how?:The moment I stopped being carnivore from last two months, I felt the peacefulness and contentment.
What are your Favorite veggies and fruits?:My favorite is boiled mixed vegetables with self prepared sauce. I am very fond of all the fruits.
Your Favorite animals? Domestic or wild?:
I love almost all the animals be it domestic or wild.
What do you believe in or should we say your motto in life?:
Meat is not only source of protein, there are so many foods that are rich in protein. I was hunter, fisherman and hardcore meat lover. But when I think of other lives being slaughtered, this is absolutely insane.
What is your message to everyone on going meatless?:
This is my humble and great appreciation to those who are already vegetarian, and to those who haven't pledge for going meatless, please think of our loved ones being ripped away from us to be eaten. I now pledge to go meatless throughout my life and I hope you too. If they can, why not we?
